The excitement is only growing. Senior year is approaching its end and I am ready for the start of something new. High school is ending, college is becoming a reality, and dreams are coming true. I have worked so hard all my life to get to where I am today and there is no better feeling than the feeling of my hard work paying off. These last four years I have worked harder than ever and I will continue to work hard until the very last day. With so many things going on and so many deadlines to meet, I do not have any time to even think about being nervous. Graduation is less than 4 months away and I cannot wait to walk in front of my family, friends, and community with my white cap and gown. In just a few months I will be able to say that all the stress, sleepless nights, and endless homework assignments was worth it. Until then, I have to keep on pushing myself to finish strong in order to make the dream become a reality.
There are so many things I am looking forward to; one of those things being graduation itself. As a senior I believe every event seems more exciting simply because it is the last time we will be participating in them. Things like prom, grad nite, and the senior farewell rally are very big things for us seniors and I know many of us are just waiting for those events to come around. There are still so many things to do before graduation; so many things to look forward to. As an ASB member it becomes frustrating and stressing when we plan events; however, I love seeing how everything comes out. For example, planning a rally is a long process and it definitely is not easy, but it gives me a good feeling when I see everyone having a good time. One thing I am really excited for is grad nite. Everyone has their stories of what it was like and they all sound so exciting but I want to have my own story to tell. I have been to Disneyland before but I know this time is gonna be different. This is the only time when the park is dedicated to us seniors who have worked so hard and it will be nice to share an entire night with the friends I have made these past four years.
Looking back on senior year gives me a headache. There was so much to do and it felt like time just kept speeding by. Aside from all my class work, I had to manage the making of a yearbook, organize school events, work four to eight hour shifts at Mcdonalds, attend sporting events to take pictures, apply for scholarships, and apply for college. It was a handful and managing my time became challenging, but somehow I am finding a way to get it done. High school was quite the ride; it had its ups and downs, but it was one I will not soon forget because once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal.
